Stanley Dawson was born in Coalinga in 1931. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and went on to study engineering at Caltech, Cambridge, and Harvard. He later moved to Davis with his family and worked for the California Air Resources Board. Kirk Ridgeway was born in Pennsylvania in 1946 and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, he earned a Masters in Physical Therapy. He moved to Davis in 2008.
