A hand written note entitled 'Nonie is Stricken Ill'. The Text reads "complaining of a sore throat Nonie was taken to the Doctor. Upon examination, the Doctor diagnosed his condition as an acute case of Vincent's Angina. This disease is commonly know among the ley people as Trench Mouth. The constitutional disturbance is often marked. In some cases the tonsils or throat is involved and is accompanied by the presence of a grayish-white membrane (false). Acute nephontis is one of the main complications of this disease.
