Scope & Content
Crane and clamshell dredge are used to begin construction of dirt sidewalls for silos at Spreckels Sugar Company factory. When completed, the silo walls will be 17 feet high, 14 feet above ground level. The silo will be a round stadium, 450 feet in diameter, with a capacity of 90,000 tons of beet pulp.
