Gibson Family Quilt. Pink and white hand quilted quilt. Pattern is called "Double Irish Chain" The border of the quilt is made up of half pink squares giving impression of triangles. he quilt is piped in pink cotton. The quilting is in the patterns of wreathes and squares. Very good hand quilting. History: Quilt made by Mrs. Gibson about 1910 and given as a gift to one of the mansion's caretakers - Mrs. Culley. The quilt was donated in 1962.
