White cotton muslin petticoat. 42" overall length including 15" double hem ruffle. Outer ruffle decorated with 6 horizontal pin tucks and 4" wide eyelet embroidery. Inner hem ruffle finished with 3" self-ruffle. 24" waist. Heavy gathering at back waist to accommodate bustle. 10" opening with singles, button closure. History: Belonged to Mrs. Canning, mother of Aletha Epperson. Aletha was Louann's mother.
