Fred and Frieda Luck married April 20, 1872 in Mecklenburg, Germany. He worked at the Yolo Brewery and managed a roadhouse for eleven years that was known as Brown's Corner. At the time of his death from cirrhosis in 1904, their family lived at 413 1/2 Main Street, Woodland.
