Doctor's instrument bag. Dark brown leather with pronounced pebbly grain. Double leather handles at top. Closes with a leather strap across the top which has a clasp with 3 adjustments and a lock. Interior lined with similarly grained tan leather. One large interior pocket, whose opening edged with dark leather. Four small metal shoes on bottom. History: Belonged to Dr. Martin, killed about 1909, by a horse drawn streetcar in Kansas City, MO. Grandfather of donor's first husband. Fred McFern.
