Metal lamp,1920, labeled Le Leven Du Jour, with glass shade. Lamp base is a metal sculpture of a classical male figure (Helios) holding a torch which is actually a glass glove covering an electric light bulb. Lamp is wired to electricity; old cord is cut. Metal label affixed to front of lamp base: by Auguste Moreau - LeLever Du Jour". Rough translation from French is "The Rising of the day" History: This lamp was taken to Clars Audtion House on March 28, 2014. The appraiser said it was a somewhat common lamp of that period; with a possible sale price of $600
