Child's hand-sewn white sun bonnet. The fabric is a fine white fabric with squares of heavier thread through it. The fabric of the brim is made firm by rows of hand-sewn tucking. The rows of thickening vary from three to five rows. There is a deep ruffle of the same fabric gathered across the back of the bonnet. The bonnet has two fabric ties. Good condition except for two light stains on back ruffle. Tag on bonnet states "Made by "Civilla Cribbs Lent 1881"
