Blacksmith tongs. Gad tongs. 25" long. 17 1/2" cylindrical rods 1/2" diameter for handles. Jaws of 1/2" x 1/2" flattened (square) iron riveted together at neck and joined to handles at curve. Jaws 4 1/4" wide x 4" long, curved into circle. 1 1/4" long x 5/8" x 1/2" rectangular projection, with 3/8" groove inside, at top of each side of jaw. History: Used for holding bolts and other round work. Handmade tools from Estate of S. Troy Bristow, Knights Landing, CA.
