Ecru lace collar. Hand made. Has patterns of flowers and vines towards the middle, with swirling shapes on the edges. It has scalloped edges trimmed with looping threads. 18 1/4"x 6". History: Donor, Alice Hutchinson Smart Wentzell, states that the lace was handmade in Ireland in 1894, and came to California with the Hutchinson family. It is in the Carrick MacRoss style. The lace was made by the donor's aunt to collect enough money for her passage to America.
