Sunbonnet. White cotton batiste crown with corded cotton brim lined with batiste and decorated with scalloped edges with buttonhold - stitich embroidery. One row of 10 small white buttons across top where crown meets brim. Crown 5" deep x 24" wide x 18" long. 12" ties. Neck ruffle buttons at throat. Laundry mark inside: L13". History: Belonged to Mrs. Canning, mother of Aletha Epperson and granddaughter of donor.
