Maroon silk taffeta jacket. Fully lined and fitted with 9 stays. High collar of maroon velvet with bow on front right side and 3 "petal" flaps at back. Puffed, long sleeves with overcap at shoulder, velvet cuff at wrists, finished in 3" black lace. Hidden front closure with 22 buttonholes and 6 buttons. Velvet bolero effect on front. Front of collar and edge of bolero decorated with 1/4" multi-facet beads. History: Donor sttaes this may have been a wedding dress of her grandmother, Harriet "Hattie" Jane Curson Lee Wykoff, born 1858 on Wykoffe Woodland Rranch.
