Black silk brocade cape. Front drapes 36" from shoulder seams to bottom edges. Elaborate leaf-and-vine braid design around all edges. 4 1/2" black lace across bottom edges, up back sides, and across back. Two 24" ties fastened at center back inside, long enough to be tied in front. c. 1850s History: Worn by a member of the Wycoff family, Yolo County pioneers in 1850's.
