[nb-NO]Exent[nb-NO]The collection is comprised of photographs of buildings, models, architectural plans, and artistic architectural renderings of buildings that were designed by Robert E. Crippen. There is also one Woodland High School diploma for Emil K. Kraft from 1911.
Robert Earl Crippen (1922-2004) was born in Burbank, CA and grew up in Northern California. He graduated Woodland High School in 1940 and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Robert married Nancy Merritt in Sacramento in 1946 and then the couple moved to Eugene where Robert attended the University of Oregon and earned his degree in architecture in 1951. The Crippen family came back to Woodland in the 1960s where he designed a number of buildings. He was active in business and service organizations in the communities where he lived, and was a member of the Episcopal Church. He also managed a ski resort in the 1970’s. -
