The collection consists of photos of Byron Jackson and family members. Byron Jackson (1841-1921) was born in Ohio and moved to Yolo County around 1860. He purchased the Yolanda Ranch (previously the Victoria Orchard) and established a machine shop and foundry in Woodland, where he invented his own agricultural equipment. He later moved to San Francisco and began manufacturing pumping plants. He was the owner of the Byron Jackson Iron Works. He married Mary Leila Galigher (1854-1921) in San Francisco in 1883. They had a son, Byron Jackson Jr., and a daughter, Leila Gladys Jackson.
