Wool and linen dickey. The front of the dickey is truncated triangle of purple wool with elaborate braid. Ruched neckline. Lined and attached to a tan, light-weight canvas, body sleeveless. Fitted, boned at front. Hook & eye closure. c. 1880s. History: Worn by Celia Dill Huber, from March 9, 1863. Sister to Emma Margaret Dill Casillis who married Silas Obadish Casillis of Zamora and lived on family homestead ranch north of Zamora.
