This collection contains worksheets that record the use of German Prisoners of War in and around the Clarksburg area in 1946 by the Parson family, under the American Crystal Sugar Contract. Prisoners were used to replace the labor lost to farmers by the war. There were certain stipulations as to how many hours the prisoners could work, how far away from camp they could be taken etc. and the worksheets were designed to provide a daily record of who worked that day, what job they performed, and how long they worked. The worksheet also provide the weather for that day, as well as the location of the fields worked.
