Warmer, foot, soapstone enclosed in wooden holder with leather strap. "Soapstone was used for many items in early America. Simple rectangles were cut and a wire handle attached. This rectangle was heated in a fireplace or oven and used to warm the bed. They were also used by enclosing them in a wooden holder and carried to church to keep the feet warm.
