Tongs, metal 3 ft long, used for black smith work. History: Information transmitted by Theresa Sackett to Joann Larkey 9/18/1981. "This collection of old farm tools was the property of Samuel Woods, who came to Woodbridge, San Joaquin County,, with his parents in 1850. After he married, he took over the Woods family farm near Woodbridge, which had the usual blacksmith shop. No doubt the tools were made or repaired there. The collection was saved by Samuel Woods' daughter, Rita Woods Borden, a pioneer of Santa Crus who died there at the age of 92. The collection then became the property of her niece, Margaret Woods Buckmaster, whose family has generously donated them to the Yolo County Museum."
