Wallet. Foldover wallet - paperboard covered with grey oil-impregnated linen. Edges stitched on 3 sides. Folds in middle. Celluloid insert 5" x 1 1/2" on either side of fold. Cardboard inserts 5" x 1 1/2" between paperboard and linen. On outside "R. B. Cranston, Hardware, Implements & Sporting Goods, Woodland, Calif.". On back of one side," The Winchester Store" on other side. HISTORY: May have held hunting license or some such document. Part of Cranston collection. The Cranston Family operated a hardware store on Main street for many years.
