This collection consists Shipley Walters' research materials for her book Elkhorn: Island in an Inland Sea: A History of the Elkhorn District of Yolo County. The materials contain notes, newspaper articles, copies of pages from books and other sources. The collection is arranged in folders, alphabetically by subject. The collection also contains material from oral histories of people from the Elkhorn area conducted by Shipley Walters, including transcripts, notes, questionnaires, and permission forms.
