Gas (kerosene) iron. The base is 8" long and 4" wide. There is a steel base and above that there is a chamber where the iron is heated by the burning gas. Above the chamber there is a cover plate. There is a handle affixed to the top plate. The iron is 6.5" tall. To the back of the iron is a gas tank with a knob to control the inflow of gas. The tank is round and about 3" in diameter. There is a cap on the top where the gas can be put in the tank. The tank and the middle piece of the iron are blue.
