Large wooden tool box. History: Items found in Louis Deitz home purchased in 1940 by Ted Jaques. Louis Deitz listed in Western Shore Gazetteer as a saddler and harness maker with a business at Main and Second St. (1870) and a home at Fourth and Court Streets. Numbering is uncertain, see Deed of Gift page. Gap in numbers from 150 to 183..... All of these items had belonged to Frank Deitz and were in the Deitz home at Fourth and Court Streetrs which Ted Jaques purchased in 1940. Spelling could be Dietz or Deitz. Western Shore Gazetteer show Louis Deitz, from Germany, as a saddler and harness maker, Main Street near Second, residence corner of Court and Main.
