Blue taffetta dress with white braid and rick rack trim/piping. Probably silk. Long sleeves. Cape effect across shoulders front and back peplum and bustle cover. c.1890s. History: Wedding dress of Jennie Fredericks, who came across the plains in a covered wagon, with her parents, at the age of 2 months. Donor is great grandaughter of Jennie's father, John F. Fredericks. Jennie's real name was Johanna Jane Fredericks. She was married in a log cabin on the Fredericks ranch near Madison on March 23, 1870. Married name was Scoggins.
