Black rayon crepe dress, v-neck trimmed with white faille. Double row 7/8" diameter plastic self-shank buttons down center front, 6 ea. on each side. 12-row shirring front shoulders to make drape effect, ending 9 1/2" vertical inside tucks across front waist line to make pleats on lower skirt. Plain across back except for slight flare, and 1 3/4" belt with black plastic circular buckle. Short sleeves, slightly padded at shoulder. c. 1940s.
